Ecosoc - the Economics Society of DBE hosted its annual flagship event, 'Arthniti 2024' on 3 February 2024, on "Post-Pandemic Economic Resilience; Lessons Learned and Future Strategies." The panel discussion delved into the impact of the pandemic on India and the world, highlighting the measures taken to combat the crisis and extend assistance to other affected nations.

Roots, The Social Service Club of the Department of Business Economics, University of Delhi, made the occasion of the flagship event, "Pahel 2024," held on January 27, 2024. The panel discussion delved into the central theme of measuring the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility. The central focus was on studying shared value points, assessing impacts, and recognizing the significance of collaboration.

As the Department of Business Economics completes 50 glorious years, the Alumni Relations and Cultural Committee in association with the Training and Placement Committee, on the 20th of January, organised the Mumbai Edition of its Chapter Meet: an ode to the chapters of the past, a celebration of the present and a prelude to the future.

DBE's prestigious Annual HR Summit of 2023, was one where the theme 'HR Revolution: Innovate, Automate, Elevate' took centre stage. It was a golden chance for our students to harvest invaluable insights, connect with HR visionaries, and immerse themselves in the transformative power of innovation, automation, and elevation as they reshape the landscape of HR.

Genesis 2023 commenced with Mr. Arunabh Dey, a 2010 DBE alumnus, sharing insights on corporate success. A panel discussion, moderated by Mr. Salil Garga, a 2003 DBE alumnus and Associate VP at KPMG India, focused on MBA success. Panelists emphasized work-life balance, specialization, CV building, tech utilization, skills, entrepreneurship, and self-awareness.

Reminiscence’23, the annual alumni meet, served as a grand occasion as the DBE community came together, revisiting cherished memories and forging new ones. 100+ alums, 150+ students along with the current and retired faculty attended the event, commemorating 50 golden years of DBE.

The Annual Convention stands as the crowning jewel in the Corporate Communication Cell's calendar. This event serves as a platform to delve into the most forward-thinking themes within the realms of business and economics. Renowned speakers, ranging from industry titans to thought leaders and experts, bring their insights to the forefront, elevating the event into a haven for profound discussions and unparalleled networking opportunities.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Business Economics Course of the Department of Finance & Business Economics, University of Delhi, the 5th edition of Professor Dalip Swamy Memorial lecture was organized on 24th February, 2023. The event marked the presence of various past professors of Department, Prof. Lallan Prasad, Prof. Deepa Saran, Prof. Rashmi Aggarwal, to name a few.

"Imprints'22" Alumni Summit under the theme 'Limitless - The unbridled race for more' was held by DBE in November 2022. The summit featured three panels capturing topics like consumer attention in the digital age, importance of personalization in branding, emphasizing the role of economies of scale and automation in enhancing efficiency.

A online inter college competetion of highest level involving premier B-schools around the country, fighting for the ultimate crown of PR kings. This competition involved a qualifying round with PR quiz, followed by a presentation round for shortlisted candidates who developed a unique product idea and pitched it to our judges.

A pop culture quiz consisting of multiple rounds of quizzing, dancing and other PR challenges involving over 80 participants and one winner team.

The Training and Placement Committee of DBE hosted its flagship event ‘tHRive’, the HR Summit with its theme as "Reskilling, Upskilling & Outskilling: Building HR Framework for Competitive Advantage". Thrive’22 is an attempt to create a converse on understanding new strategies for upskilling in the potential future on multiple industrial domains to ensure we remain relevant and fully equipped with upcoming challenges.

The department launched its academic year with Genesis 2022, organized by the Alumni Relations and Cultural Committee. The event featured our alums who discussed career growth and dispelled MBA-related myths, emphasizing personal branding and workplace relationships. Overall, the event provided valuable insights and advice for students pursuing MBA programs.

Department of Business Economics hosted Moolyankan '22, which served as the flagship event for BlueChips: The Finance Club of DBE. The central theme for this event revolved around "Innovation and Risk: Interpreting the Forces Reshaping the World of Finance". The overarching goal was to foster collaboration between the realms of Finance and Analytics, emphasizing the synergy between these sectors and the exciting prospects on the horizon.

Arthniti, the flagship event of EcoSoc - The Economics Club of DBE was conducted on March of 2022. The initial two panel discussions revolved around the topics of "Reimagining Economic Principles through Digital Currencies" and "Promoting Recovery through Inclusive Economic Expansion".

The 22nd Annual Marketing Conclave, MarkQuest, was successfully held by MarkiBiz, The Marketing Club of DBE, in March 2022. Among others, marketing executives from businesses like Baggit, Mother Dairy, and Tata Elxsi were part of the display. The discussions subjects aligned with the present industry trends.

EcoSoc executed its annual event, Budgetniti 2022-23, with a panel discussion, marked by its insightful discourse and expert perspectives, equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of how the Union Budget shapes and molds the economic landscape.

Being the first college fest for the Department of Business Economics, Atharva ’22 aimed at bringing colleges across universities to participate in a plethora of activities which will not only tickle your creative brains but will also make learning fun. The Business Events were focused on testing skills on trading, auctions, and knowledge on crypto-currency and economics events. The Cultural Events gave the platform to showcase skills across a plethora of activities from dance to arts, storytelling to photography, comedy to riddle solving.

The Training and Placement Committee at the Department of Business Economics, University of Delhi, introduced a new initiative for the department called - "Step Ahead - A New Age Entrepreneur Summit" with an aim to interact with the new age entrepreneurs from different domains and start-ups.

BEMUN, a United Nations Conference Simulation (MUN), is a simulative competition where delegates have the opportunity to represent a particular country and discuss world issues to formulate the best resolutions.provides a platform for the students to trade their thoughts about globally significant issues.

Havish M Consulting wrapped up an amazing 24-hour workshop for MBA students at Department of Business Economics, Delhi University that covered Excel, Power BI, Tableau, ChatGPT, and PowerPoint.
